The Challenge: As Pink Tree prepared to launch their patient support web application, they needed a cloud infrastructure that could deliver:

The Solution: Pentagon designed and implemented a secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, tailored to Pink Tree Health’s needs:
VPC Setup – Created a dedicated Virtual Private Cloud in the Mumbai region with public/private subnets, NAT & Internet Gateways, and custom route tables. Application Hosting – Deployed EC2 instances in the private subnet (Ubuntu 20.04) for web and database workloads; tested and verified configurations. Bastion Host – Placed in the public subnet for secure access to private servers. Load Balancing & Security – Configured an Application Load Balancer (ALB) with AWS WAF for traffic protection and geolocation restrictions (India-only traffic). IAM & MFA – Defined role-based access using managed/custom IAM policies and enabled Multi-Factor Authentication for all users. Data Protection – Created S3 buckets for daily database backups with a retention policy for cost efficiency. Monitoring & Alerts – Implemented CloudWatch for CPU, memory, disk, and network metrics, and set up budget alerts to track AWS consumption and billing.
